Kemilau Nusantara Collection

The collaboration between Euodia Home and Du Anyam brings together contemporary reed diffuser design and traditional craftsmanship. Each diffuser is carefully wrapped in bamboo structure and handwoven palmyra leaves, crafted by women artisans from East Nusa Tenggara, blending natural elegance with cultural heritage.

Abdur contributed to the design of the bamboo sleeve, tray, and packaging, ensuring each element reflected both functionality and refinement. The packaging was developed to elevate the unboxing experience while maintaining the handcrafted essence of
Du Anyam's weaving.

Behind The Design

This collaboration was born from a partnership between Euodia Home and Du Anyam, with the goal of creating a new hamper product to accompany Euodia's new diffuser scent launch. The bottle was Euodia's, our job was to design everything around it.

I worked on the bamboo sleeve together with my coordinator, and handled the tray and packaging on my own. One of the biggest challenges was working purely with natural materials, the brief specifically called for a design that stayed away from modern materials, keeping it fully rooted in craft. That meant going through a lot of different design iterations before landing on the final direction.

The natural material constraint also brought a practical challenge during sampling, because bamboo and palmyra leaf are organic, the products came out in variable sizes, something we had to manage closely throughout the process to ensure consistency in the final product.
